The New Brunswick Regulatory College of Medical Radiation Technologists (the "College") derives authority from enforceable provincial legislation to regulate the practice of medical radiation technology in the public interest.
The Act provides the legal foundation:
The
MEDICAL RADIATION TECHNOLOGISTS ACT is the provincial legislation "written law" that has been enacted by the provincial government that establishes the legal framework to ensure safe, competent, and ethical practice of medical radiation technology in the province.
The Regulations enforce the law and protect the public.
The
REGULATIONS under the
Act is for the purpose of providing detailed, enforceable rules that support the implementation of the
Act and ensure consistent, safe, and ethical practice by medical radiation technologists.
The By-laws guide the day-to-day operations of the regulatory body.
The
BY-LAWS serve as the operational backbone of the regulatory framework established by the
Act. Approved by the Board, the by-laws set the rules on how the organization is governed and operates.
